What is Vi Peel?  The Vi Peel is designed for anyone who wants younger looking healthier skin.  The Vi Peel is designed to improve acne, tone, texture, reduce &/ or eliminate age spots, freckles and hyper-pigmentation (including melasma).  Pore size will appear to be reduced and fine lines and wrinkles will be softened.   As all of our peels, the Vi Peel will stimulate the production of collagen and elastin for firmer skin.  The VI Peel consists of a synergistic blend of five acids that no other peel offers:

• TCA  - Trichloroacetic Acid for penetration, deep scar healing; stimulates collagen growth;
• Retin-A  - acid derived from vitamin A to combat wrinkles;
• Salicylic Acid  - this beta hydroxy acid (BHA) is an exfoliant;
• Phenol  - has antiseptic and anesthetic properties;
  aids in skin penetration;
• Vitamin C  - ascorbic acid has antioxidant and mild exfoliation properties
• The * Precision  Booster is the Vi Peel at a higher concentration, for a treatment that is about 25% stronger than the Vi Peel alone.  The Precision booster is an excellent addition for treating stubborn hyperpigmentation including melasma, actinic keratoses and age spots.

 What is the pretreatment preparation?  Avoid the following  products and/or procedures ONE WEEK BEFORE your scheduled Vi Peel: Electrolysis, waxing, sunless tanning or UV free tanning, depilatory creams, laser hair removal, patients who have medical cosmetic facial treatments or procedures (e.g.. laser therapy, surgical procedures, cosmetic filler, microdermabrasion, etc.) should wait until skin sensitivity completely resolves., Patient who have had BOTOX injections should wait until all bruising subsides, Retin A(tretinoin) , Renova (tretinoin) , Differin (adapalene), Tazorac (tazarotene), Avage (tazarotene)., Any products containing Retinol, AHA or BHA, or Benzoyl Peroxide,  and Any exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating.

What to expect during the Vi Peel:  Your skin will be cleansed and dried.  Then the solution will be applied on face, neck, and/or décolleté and hands.   It is virtually discomfort free. Clients typically experience a warm, tingly sensation that quickly subsides.  After application, you will be given a TAKE HOME KIT along with specific instructions to help maximize the benefits of your Vi Peel by protecting and nourishing the skin post peel.

What to expect after the Vi Peel:  You will also receive a take home kit along with specific instructions.  It is essential to follow the instructions given to maximize the benefits of the Vi Peel.  Expect light peeling to occur 2 to 5 days after the peel for an approximate 3 day period.   Your result will be improved texture, and a more radiant, youthful appearance.  Since your skin will be highly sensitive to the sun following the Vi Peel, an SPF of 30 + must be worn daily. 

What is the maintenance?  We will advise you according to the severity of the issue being addressed.  At first the Vi Peel may be recommended every 3 months until you reach your optimum goal.   To amplify and maintain the effects of the Vi peel between treatments, it is HIGHLY recommended to continue using the HQRA treatment cream nightly after 2-3 weeks of your peel.
