How does Fractora™ skin resurfacing work?

The Fractora™ handle is equipped with a series of micro-pins that deliver radio frequency energy to the treatment area. During your skin rejuvenation procedure, the skin is firmly stretched and the Fractora™ handle is applied to the surface of your skin. The micro-pins deliver gentle, controlled pulses of RF energy that penetrate down to the skin’s lower layers and stimulate the growth of new collagen. These micro-pins also resurface the outer layers of your skin to allow for the growth of new skin cells.

What should I expect during my Fractora™ procedure?

Fractora™ skin rejuvenation is performed on an outpatient basis. First, an anesthetic is administered to prepare the treatment area(s). It may be injected or applied topically… depending on area and depth.  The skin is then held taunt and the  Fractora™ handle will be applied to the treatment site. This device will be placed around the entirety of the treatment area(s) to ensure symmetrical skin resurfacing results. The length of Fractora™ treatments ultimately varies depending on the specifics of each procedure.*

What should I expect after my Fractora™ procedure?

Slight bruising, swelling, or tenderness may occur after your Fractora™ treatment. However, these side effects are normal and should subside after a few days. After this type of procedure you may experience redness, and swelling. Tiny little micro scabs will appear 3-4 days after your treatment and exfoliate off several days later. Full recovery may take 5-7 days. There is minimal downtime associated with Fractora™ and patients can usually resume day-to-day activities immediately after completing Fractora™ skin resurfacing treatment.*
